Aviso antipedagogico - Prologo
I related the first part of the book with my primary and secondary education, because I was taught ethics mainly from the theological point of view as I attended classes in private and religious schools, but it is essential also to stimulate students to think freely obviously guiding them to do it so.
I also found very interesting some lines from the "prologo" which refered to the importance to teach our students to be confident on themselves in order to be better people in the future, of course we, as teachers, should let them know the tools to achieve their own goals in life.

How nice to start reading you, Romina!
I wondered why you've contrasted "theological ethics" to "free thinking"... Are there two kinds of ethics, in your view? (perhaps you may discuss this with Laura, who makes a similar point...
I also meant to ask you: "has education always aimed at teaching people to believe in themselves"? And would teaching this be a personal choice or your professional duty, in your view?
Happy blogging!
Gladys
When I refered to the theological point of view, I meant to strict limits, but Ethics is only one. Education aims have been changed through the years; in the past students had to learn the subject and repeat the topics almost by heart, but now teachers teach more than the subject, scuh as values, tools, etc
Thanks for your answers, Romina! You've really made yourself clear...
As regards the aims of education, do you believe it's your professional duty to teach values as well as subject-matter, or a personal choice? And how do you feel about it?
Love,
Gladys
